Dark is filtered to emphasize bass. Sometimes high frequencies can sound cheap, so we removed them. It’s also a great variation to use in slow mo sequences.

Distorted is a mix of saturation, tape, vintage compressors, EQ and transient design. The goal here was to convey aggression while still preserving a clean sound. You’ll hear a lot of crunchy textures in the tail. Great to use for action sequences.

Among those are Hollywood franchises like Doctor Strange, Star Wars or Captain America as well as game titles like Titanfall, SOMA and Battlefield 4.

Karel is a composer and sound designer based in LA. Best known for his Kendrick Lamar – Humble Remix in the DC Shazam Trailer #1. His sound design has been used in over 40 trailers (Top Gun, Avengers, Spider-Man, Justice League, LEGO, Detective Pikacu… ). He’s also the designer behind the library AVA – INSTINCT.
